Texture

A texture asset given its own definition identifier. Used for a car’s builder photo — the catalog image shown in the Equipment window.

Textures used by a decal, a paint map, or a material don’t need one of these; those name their asset directly with an AssetReference.

The texture asset to resolve — ./name for an asset in this definition’s own pack, or domain/name for another pack’s.

{
"identifier": "rr/ld-f7a--bp0",
"definition": {
"kind": "Texture",
"assetIdentifier": "./ld-f7a--bp0"
}
}

A car’s builderPhoto field names the Texture definition to use. If it’s left unset, the game looks for one at <car-identifier>--bp0 by convention — e.g. a car identified as my-pack/my-boxcar falls back to my-pack/my-boxcar--bp0.

A steam locomotive’s tenders field can give each tender pairing its own builder photo too, so the purchase screen shows the tender actually being bought.
