AimConstraint

Rotates this component’s transform each frame so it points from source toward target. Used to keep a connecting part — such as a piston rod or valve pipe — aimed at a point on another part that moves independently, for example a locomotive’s front truck as it swivels on curves.

  • Kind: AimConstraint
  • Availability: Car

lockToPlane

bool = false

If true, restricts rotation to a single plane (defined by this component’s own transform rotation) instead of aiming freely in 3D. Use this to keep a part from rolling or twisting as its target moves, when only its heading within a plane should change.

The transform to rotate. Its parent transform must exist for the constraint to take effect.

The transform that source aims toward.
